"Signs" of Inefficiency

Inefficiency is synonymous with Latin America. The best way to illustrate this is with street signs. In the U.S. we have one sign for children at play. It works well and everyone know to slow down and watch for anyone who may be playing in or crossing the street. Not so here. I wonder, with the general lack of traffic rules, why they even bother printing the signs in the first place. No one stops at stop signs, why on earth would they stop for people. Not even an argument for political correctness makes sense since that concept is as foreign as penguins here. Panama may be the last place on earth you can call a person from China, for example, Chinese while making slanty eyes and no one thinks twice about it. Not even the Chinese; they already know they have slanty eyes and they seem to be fine with it. But, I digress. On to the signs.

A personal favorite: big butt man crossing the street

Skinny man at play

Straight man at play (notice bulging muscles)

Gay man at play (notice the hands and rolled up shorts)

  1. Goodness, I can't stop laughing. I love the gay man with rolled up shorts. I had to share these with my co-workers.
