On Tuesday, my birthday, the kids offered to fend for themselves for dinner so I wouldn't have to cook. I told them what would be better would be if they would make dinner so that when I got home from teaching it would be done. When it was about time to leave for seminary/work Jacob asked if they really had to cook dinner. Then Kalie came in and said she didn't want to make bread. I was so mad. I put everything away and got in the car angry that my kids were so selfish they wouldn't even make dinner on my birthday. After my class Doug picked my up. When I got in the car all the kids yelled "surprise!" I was shocked. It turns out that Doug had given them strict orders to not let me cook dinner and they had all plotted against me. I felt so bad because I really was mad as we drove to seminary. But it made it all the more hilarious and fun. Doug took us all the the Ginza, a teppanyaki restaurant. The food was great but the company was outstanding. We had such a great time. Thanks Doug and kids for a wonderful birthday

Sounds like a very successful surprize! Happy birthday!
